Adyashanti dares all seekers of peace and freedom to take the possibility of liberation in this life seriously. He began teaching in 1996, at the request of his Zen teacher with whom he had been studying for 14 years. Since then many spiritual seekers have awakened to their true nature while spending time with Adyashanti.
The author of The End of Your World, Emptiness Dancing, and True Meditation, Adyashanti offers spontaneous and direct nondual teachings that have been compared to those of the early Zen masters and Advaita Vedanta sages. However, Adya says, “If you filter my words through any tradition or ‘-ism’, you will miss altogether what I am saying. The liberating truth is not static; it is alive. It cannot be put into concepts and be understood by the mind. The truth lies beyond all forms of conceptual fundamentalism. What you are is the beyond—awake and present, here and now already. I am simply helping you to realize that.”
A native of Northern California, Adyashanti lives with his wife, Mukti, and teaches extensively in the San Francisco Bay Area offering satsangs, weekend intensives, and silent retreats. He also travels to teach in other areas of the United States and Canada.

Robert Augustus Masters
Robert Augustus Masters' passion is to fuel, illuminate, and support the living of a deeper life, a life of love, integrity, and fully alive awakening. Providing environments (both inner and outer) in which deep healing and transformation can take place is my vocation and privilege.
Having just reached my 60th birthday, I notice that I am finding freedom more through intimacy — intimacy not only with my beloved Diane, but also with all that is — than through transcendence. There is a deeply satisfying joy for me in passing on what I have learned, especially through my integral psychotherapy apprenticeship programs and the couples intensives that I do with Diane.
Since 1977 I've worked as a psychotherapist (I have a Ph.D. in Psychology), group leader, bodyworker, and teacher of spiritual deepening practices, integrating the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual in my practice. Most weekends these days I'm leading groups or trainings.
Evolving in fitting parallel with this has been my writing, which is as much a passion for me as facilitating deep groupwork.
I've authored eight books, including Divine Dynamite, Darkness Shining Wild, and, most recently, Transformation Through Intimacy . My essays have appeared in magazines ranging from Magical Blend to the Journal of Transpersonal Psychology, as well as in several anthologies. And running rampant through all my writing is my poetry, keeping my prose on its toes.
Ram Dass first travelled to India in 1967 as Dr. Richard Alpert, an eminent Harvard psychologist. There he met his guru, Neem Karoli Baba (affectionately known as Maharaj-ji), who gave Ram Dass his name, which means “servant of God.” Upon his return from India, Ram Dass became a pivotal cultural influence and has served as a guiding light for over forty years, carrying millions along on the journey. He is the co-founder of the Seva Foundation and lives in Maui, Hawaii.
Ram Dass is pleased to announce the release of his latest book (with Rameshwar Das), Be Love Now: the Path of the Heart. Combining timeless teaching stories, personal anecdotes, and soul-stirring insights, Be Love Now shares Ram Dass’ rich experiences while offering enduring insight into what is most important in life and in our lives.
In addition, the first E-book edition of Ram Dass’ iconic Be Here Now will be released in October 2010 to coincide with the publication of Be Love Now—the final installment in this powerful trilogy.

Today, Sally Durgananda Kempton is a teacher of inner yoga, trained in the non-dual traditions of Hindu wisdom. Her classes and trainings offer a deep transmission of heart-based spaciousness. She is known for her ability to convey esoteric tantric teachings with an acute sense of the psychological and practical challenges of contemporary life.

Raphael's own heart was opened by an experience of profound grief.
Raphael's own heart was opened by an experience of profound grief. In 1996, both his career and his marriage fell apart. "It was a classic dark night of the soul," he recalls. "Many people experience something similar in their own lives. The particulars are always different but the essential experience is the same -- a deep, depressing, gut-wrenching pain. In my case, everything I thought I knew about life went completely out the window."
Then, luckily, one of Cushnir's mentors convinced him to embrace the pain instead of turn away from it. He suggested that, in fact, this was a perfect opportunity to "wake up". Cushnir took his mentor's advice and ran with it. Fifteen years later he's waking up still, one moment at a time.
Helping others to do the same has become his new life mission.

Michael Murphy is the chairman of Esalen Institute, which he confounded with Richard Price in 1962. He is also known for helping to spark, along with George Leonard, what has come to be known as the human potential movement. After graduating from Stanford University in the mid-1950’s, he studied at Sri Aurobindo Ashram in South India, where he developed the spiritual and philosophical foundations that led to the founding of Esalen.

Andrew Harvey was born in south India in 1952 where he lived until he was nine years old. It is this early period that he credits with shaping his sense of the inner unity of all religions and providing him with a permanent and inspiring vision of a world infused with the sacred. He left India to attend private school in England and entered Oxford University in 1970 with a scholarship to study history. At the age of 21, he became the youngest person ever to be awarded a fellowship to All Soul’s College, England’s highest academic honor.
By 1977 Andrew Harvey had become disillusioned with life at Oxford and returned to his native India, where a series of mystical experiences initiated his spiritual journey. Over the next thirty years he plunged into different mystical traditions to learn their secrets and practices. In 1978 he met a succession of Indian saints and sages and began his long study and practice of Hinduism. In 1983, in Ladakh, he met the great Tibetan adept, Thuksey Rinpoche, and undertook with him the Mahayana Buddhist Bodhisattva vows; later, in 1990, he would collaborate with Sogyal Rinpoche and Patrick Gaffney in the writing of The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying. In 1984, Andrew Harvey began a ten-year-long exploration and explication of Rumi and Sufi mysticism in Paris with a group of French Sufis and under the guidance of Eva De Vitray-Meyerovitch, the magnificent translator of Rumi into French. In 1992, he met Father Bede Griffiths in his ashram in south India near where Andrew Harvey had been born. It was this meeting that helped him synthesize the whole of his mystical explorations and reconcile eastern with western mysticism.

She took Bodhisattva vows, practiced Zen and Vipassana meditation, helped run a Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Center, and had a career as an acupuncturist in the San Francisco Bay area.
Despite her successes, Gangaji continued to experience a deep and persistent longing for fulfillment. She pursued many paths to change her life including relationship, motherhood, political activism, career, and spiritual practice, but even the greatest of her successes ultimately came up short. In the wake of her disillusionment, she made a final prayer for true help. In 1990, the answer to her prayer came unexpectedly, taking her to India and to the meeting that would change everything. There on the banks of the river Ganga, she met Sri H.W.L. Poonja, also known as Papaji, who opened the floodgates of self-recognition. In this meeting, Gangaji’s personal story of suffering ended and the promise of a true life began to flower and unfold.
Today, Gangaji travels the world speaking to seekers from all walks of life. A teacher and author, she shares her direct experience of the essential message she received from Papaji and offers it to all who want to discover a true and lasting fulfillment.
