The Migration of Kindness

December 6th, 2010 by Mark Nepo

Her sister was dying of cancer,
a thousand miles away. She had
no way of getting there and
time was short.

Feeling helpless, she took a bus
to the clinic in her town. She’d
never been. She volunteered;
lifting strangers out of bed,
cleaning their bedpans.

At lunch she rubbed their
arms in the courtyard; helping
where she could.

She did this for days and one
of those days, while she slept on
the ride home, a stranger visiting
someone else propped a pillow
behind her sister’s failing head.

The One True World

May 31st, 2010 by Mark Nepo

Though it’s all one world,
when we close our eyes to the outer life,
we open our eyes to the inner life,
and we are made to blink
so we can live in the one true world.

“If you do not know where you stand within yourself, where does that leave you? When you stand centered in your own space, it will become clearer what your choices are and which ones to make.”
Ron Rathbun, from Words That Matter

“The roles we play in each other's lives are only as powerful as the trust and connection between us.”— Oprah

“The moment we begin tolerating meanness, in ourselves and others, we are using our authorial power in the service of wrongdoing. We have both the capacity and the obligation to do better.”

Seek not to change the world, but choose to change your mind
about the world. What you see reflects your thinking. And your
thinking but reflects your choice of what you want to see."

"Much of the stress that people feel doesn't come from
having too much to do. It comes from not
finishing what they've started."

I BELIEVE GOD WANTS YOU TO KNOW...

Name: I believe God wants you to know...

Website: http://www.nealedonaldwalsch.com/

From: Neale Donald Walsch

Examples :

On this day of your life, dear friend, I believe God wants you to know...

...that tomorrow is the most important day of your life.

Your greatest moment, your greatest achievement, your

greatest adventure lies in the future, never in the past.

There is a new you waiting to be created tomorrow.

That is the joy and wonder of the dawn. That is the

excitement of it!

Forget about yesterday! What is the grandest version

of the greatest vision ever you held about Who You

Are going to be tomorrow? That is the only question

that matters.

On this day of your life, dear friend, I believe God wants you to know...

...that false modesty will get you nowhere -- nor will

genuine modesty when it is not required.

Modesty is rarely required by Life, did you know that?

It's true. People are more self-deprecating than they

ever need to be. God says it's okay to celebrate

your self. Honor the self, and delight in expressing

your talents and your gifts.

It is through the happy sharing of your treasures that

you show other people that they are treasured.

Always, always remember that.

Thoughts become things... choose the good ones! ®

All is well. You don't have to like or love everything or everyone, not in the usual sense. Injustices and villains always abound during primitive times. You knew this would be true before you chose this life, just as you knew that the good and the beauty would far exceed the bad and the ugly.

Life is beautiful,

Have your preferences, go where you're drawn, ceci, and dwell upon all that is good.

We must learn to invest our time and energy into what we truly value, not just what we have been taught to value. You can look at two indicators to determine what it is you value most: Your checkbook and your date book. Where are you investing your money and your time? Do those two indicators reflect your highest values? Invest in what matters most today and you’ll feel your degrees of aliveness expand.
To Your Investments,

Michelangelo once said that the greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that our aim is actually too low and we reach it. Most often, we set a goal we think we can achieve that is based in circumstances. But, circumstances are our history --they are not made of our destiny. There is something in every one of us that is greater than the circumstances we are facing. Today, let’s pause for just a moment now and ask, "What would be a goal I would set if I didn’t believe I could fail?" So what if you stretch for the sun and you hit the moon?

"You'll seldom experience regret for anything that you've done. It is what you haven't done that will torment you. The message, therefore, is clear. Do it! Develop an appreciation for the present moment. Seize every second of your life and savor it. Value your present moments. Using them up in any self-defeating ways means you've lost them forever."
Wayne Dyer
Author and Speaker

"Think BIG. There are unseen forces ready to support your dreams."
Cheryl Richardson

"Man often becomes what he believes himself to be. If I keep on saying to myself that I cannot do a certain thing, it is possible that I may end by really becoming incapable of doing it. On the contrary, if I shall have the belief that I can do it. I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it, even if I may not have it at the beginning."

DAILY QUOTE

Name: Daily Quote

Website: www.abraham-hicks.com

From: Abraham through Esther Hicks.Jerry and Esther Hicks

Examples :

Everything exists for joy. There is not one other reason for life than joy. We've got nothing to prove to anyone, because nobody other than All-That-Is is watching. In other words, we're not trying to get brownie points from some other galaxy. We're not trying to get someplace else; we're not trying to get it done, because there is no ending—we cannot get it done. Everything exists for the purpose of joy in the moment.

--- Abraham

Excerpted from the workshop in Silver Spring, MD on Saturday, May 11th, 2002 # 73

Complaining about anything holds you in the place of refusing to receive the things you've been asking for. Justifying about anything holds you in the place of refusing to let in the very things that you've been asking for. Blaming someone holds you in the place of refusing to let in the things that you've been asking for. Feeling guilty, feeling angry, it doesn't matter what you call it; it is a refusal, not a conscious one. You're asking; you can't help but ask. The Universe is yielding; it must yield. It's a big question, folks: why aren't you letting it in?

--- Abraham

Excerpted from the workshop in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday, March 10th, 2001 # 97

It doesn't matter what anybody else is doing with their vibration, it only matters what you are doing. You cannot desire something—and notice that it isn't coming—without offering two contradictory vibrations that won't let it come.

--- Abraham

Meditation

"The very best and utmost attainment in this life is to remain still and let God act and speak in thee."
-Meister Eckhart

All the wisdom of the universe can be found in silence, can be experienced through meditation. When we are quiet, we allow spirit in, we are in-spired! This is how we get the answers we seek, this is how God communicates with us.
-Lissa Coffey

Words

"You may choose your word like a connoisseur,

And polish it up with art,

But the word that sways, and stirs, and stays,

Is the word that comes from the heart."

-Ella Wheeler Wilcox, 1906

When we communicate, we want to choose our words carefully to be sure that we are completely understood. And yet, when we want to express our feelings, sometimes it helps to just let those feelings flow, to think with our hearts more than with our heads. The words that come from our hearts are so true and real that they can't help but have an effect on anyone who hears them.
-Lissa Coffey

Meditation

"You are used to listening to the buzz of the world, but now is the time to develop the inner ear that listens to the inner world. It is time to have a foot in each world, and it can be done."
-Saint Bartholomew

It's all about balance. Rather than getting inundated by the buzz of the world, we can tune in to the silence, turn on that higher frequency and experience what really matters. And then the beauty of meditation is that we bring that experience of stillness back into our activity, and find that life is just so much easier and more fulfilling. We are better able to feel the joy that is always there.
-Lissa Coffey
