Paul Dobransky

Paul Dobransky, M.D., is a board-certified psychiatrist, a former senior instructor of psychiatry at the University of Colorado, a national speaker, and a business consultant.

An initial fascination with what makes men and women successful with the opposite sex resulted in Dr. Paul designing his career around relationships. After years of trial and error in his own dating life and conducting more than a decade of research, he created The Seventh Sense Seminar, a revolutionary program that teaches women how to be irresistible to men and create a positive space for bringing in “the one.”

Intellectual property is another area of expertise for Dr. Paul, and he has developed the ground-breaking software program called MindOS. Best described as the periodic table of elements for psychology, MindOS can be used to assess any relationship—both romantic and professional.

In his book The Secret Psychology of How We Fall in Love, Dr. Paul combines his years of knowledge and expertise to bring readers a scientifically proven nine-step program for understanding the dating brain and finding the love of their lives. His most recent book, The Power of Female Friendship, explores the primal codes of friendship of which many people are not aware, while giving scientifically-grounded advice for cultivating new friendships and for being a better friend.

He is a full staff writer for Maximum Fitness magazine, and has been featured in a wide variety of print publications, including USA Today, Marie Claire, Maxim, and First for Women, and has been regularly featured in Cosmopolitan. Dr. Paul has a twice-monthly television platform called “Guy Village,” airing nationally on NBC’s In the Loop talk show.

As a writer and speaker, he is widely known for the power, insight, clarity, candour, compassion, humor, and warmth of his presentations.

Common to all of Dr. Maté’s work is a focus on understanding the broader context in which human disease and disorders arise, from cancer to autoimmune conditions like MS, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, or fibromyalgia; childhood behavioral disorders like ADD, oppositionality, or bullying; or addiction, from substance abuse to obsessive gambling, shopping, or even workaholism.

Rather than offering facile, quick-fix solutions to these complex issues, Dr. Maté weaves together scientific research, case histories, and his own insights and experience to present a broad perspective that enlightens and empowers people to promote their own healing and that of those around them. John Perkins

John Perkins’s latest book, Hoodwinked, is a blueprint for a new form of global economics. The solutions are not “return to normal” ones. Instead, John challenges us to soar to new heights, away from predatory capitalism and into an era more transformative than the Agricultural and Industrial Revolutions. Hoodwinked details specific steps each of us can take to create a sustainable, just, and peaceful world.

John's Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, which spent nearly a year and a half on the New York Times bestseller lists and has been published in more than 30 languages, is a startling exposé of international corruption. His The Secret History of the American Empire, also a New York Times bestseller, details the clandestine operations that created the world's first truly global empire.

John is founder and board member of Dream Change and The Pachamama Alliance, nonprofit organizations devoted to establishing a world our children will want to inherit, has lectured at universities on four continents, and is the author of books on indigenous cultures and transformation, including Shapeshifting, The World Is As You Dream It, Psychonavigation, Spirit of the Shuar, and The Stress-Free Habit.

John's courage in writing these books and speaking out against his former bosses exemplifies the courage shown by our Founding Fathers and Mothers when they stood up to the British Empire. Like them, John defied threats and bribes and took action. His courage serves as an example for all of us. As he proclaims at the end of Secret History, "Now is the time for us to change the world."

Andrew Harvey

Andrew Harvey was born in south India in 1952 where he lived until he was nine years old. It is this early period that he credits with shaping his sense of the inner unity of all religions and providing him with a permanent and inspiring vision of a world infused with the sacred. He left India to attend private school in England and entered Oxford University in 1970 with a scholarship to study history.

At the age of 21, he became the youngest person ever to be awarded a fellowship to All Soul’s College, England’s highest academic honor. By 1977 Andrew Harvey had become disillusioned with life at Oxford and returned to his native India, where a series of mystical experiences initiated his spiritual journey. Over the next thirty years he plunged into different mystical traditions to learn their secrets and practices. In 1978 he met a succession of Indian saints and sages and began his long study and practice of Hinduism. In 1983, in Ladakh, he met the great Tibetan adept, Thuksey Rinpoche, and undertook with him the Mahayana Buddhist Bodhisattva vows; later, in 1990, he would collaborate with Sogyal Rinpoche and Patrick Gaffney in the writing of The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying.

In 1984, Andrew Harvey began a ten-year-long exploration and explication of Rumi and Sufi mysticism in Paris with a group of French Sufis and under the guidance of Eva De Vitray-Meyerovitch, the magnificent translator of Rumi into French. In 1992, he met Father Bede Griffiths in his ashram in south India near where Andrew Harvey had been born. It was this meeting that helped him synthesize the whole of his mystical explorations and reconcile eastern with western mysticism. Andrew Harvey has taught at Oxford University, Cornell University, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, The California Institute of Integral Studies, and the University of Creation Spirituality as well as the at various spiritual centers throughout the United States. He was the subject of the 1993 BBC film documentary The Making of a Modern Mystic and appears also in Rumi Turning Ecstatic and The Consciousness of the Christ: Reclaiming Jesus for A New Humanity. Andrew Harvey is Founder Director of the Institute of Sacred Activism. He also has a spiritual counseling practice in Chicago and is available for spiritual direction via phone.

Owen Marcus

Owen Marcus, MAThrough healing my Asperger’s Syndrome and dyslexia I learned how to grow up as a man. My college degrees and professional training taught me how the body and mind works, but it was innovation that showed me how to produce change in myself and for others.

Over the last 35 years of working with men in the corporate and private settings, I learned to teach men what they didn’t get to learn. Producing sustainable change is simple when you are provided with the information that was missing from your upbringing. When I saw the power of learning these lessons, I made it my mission to teach them to other men. We were never taught these lessons as children, but we CAN learn them as adults, and become the men we want to be.

Today, my work is a catalyst for deep change and continuous learning through my writing, groups, consulting and teaching. My blog: www.owenmarcus.com is advancing the new model of masculinity. My book, Grow UP: the 9-Step Path to Becoming a Remarkable Man, lays out a simple way to learn those missing lessons. Getting where we want to go is much easier when we know the secrets to finding—and navigating—the right path.
